Halloween!

Tonight I will carve pumpkins! And hopefully be able to get a decent shot of one.
School has been piling up lately, I always have so much homework.
My speakers are broken, too.

.
I will be going to Pennsylvania again this summer to teach people how to ride horses. I guess I better get back on one myself..
I will be going to my boyfriend's concert again tonight, hopefully to take some better pictures than I did last time. I think I've refined the technique more.
I've been enjoying my tripod lately, I find it's very handy for cloudy, endless winter days.
I got a gamefly account, and recieved rune Factory Frontier for the Wii.
I never thought such a simple game could be so fun!
I got a wolf to ride on, it's pretty sweet.
I can see why the game got such good reviews.

I haven't been going out to take pictures as often lately.
Sometimes I just get that feeling that I've already taken
a picture of everything,and it doesn't really
help that I don't have an 18-55mm.
I love my 28-300 but I wan't to take pictures of things close up

.
I rescued a kitten from the humane society. Her name is China.
(Because I thought China dishware was usually blue and white, but
apparently it can be any color?)
Ironically, she doesn't like chinese food.
My boyfriend and I are driving to Texas in August,
We're stopping at the Grand Canyon and then coming back
Up to Idaho with my dog. I am excited, I've never been to the
Grand canyon before

All in all, life has been good, and I'm mostly content. '

My boyfriend and I made an adventure out to Sandpoint last week
and managed to catch some wolves at wolf people that weren't white,but the grey one was really skittish
and hard to get a good picture of

.
I found some interesting things in Sandpoint, but the town is pretty dead in the winter.
I'm looking to invest in a new telephoto, any suggestions? I want something in the 300mm range..

Features and Mooses

Well my boyfriend and I went adventuring to find some bald eagles,
because apparently they're pretty common up here,
but I only managed to almost crash my car over the
mountain when we were coming down it.
We went out again to a non-mountainy road and found some moose!
It was a mom and her baby, they were super cute.
It was the first time I had ever seen a moose before,
and we were really lucky to see them.
The same moose I took pictures of were also in the paper

I'm still resenting my sigma 28-300.
The range is great but the focusing is just
so finicky that it drives me crazy.
Before I received my D80, I had a Nikon FM2,
which was a manual focus film camera,
that I still have, and absolutely adore.
There's nothing like a film camera,
it's a fantastic teacher before you move on to digital.
But, I guess it's time to move on to auto focus. Sigh.
